West Valley Orthopaedics is a multi-specialty Orthopaedic center. We provide all orthopaedic services including: diagnosis, patient education,
treatment and rehabilitation on site so that you never have to leave our office to have your needs met. This allows our skilled staff to keep your
orthopaedist up-to-date on your progress.

Orthopaedically trained and licensed technicians supply your physician with superior quality x-rays. You benefit from the convenience of both
on-site x-ray care and immediate physician review.
Osteoporosis Management
West Hills Osteoporosis Center has dedicated part of our practice to the detection and treatment of osteoporosis. More than 25
million Americans have osteoporosis. It is the cause of over 1.3 million fractures annually.
Postmenopausal women (After age 50 it is estimated that a woman has nearly a 40% chance of developing an osteoporotic fracture during her
remaining lifetime).
The following are risk factors for developing osteoporosis:
Early Menopause (before age 45)
Excessive alcohol use
Caucasian race or Asian ethnicity
Inactive lifestyle
Thin or small build
Smoking
Family history of Osteoporosis or Osteoporosis fractures
Chronic use of certain medications (such as steroids, excessive thyroid hormone, and certain..( anticonvulsants)
Osteoporosis Detection
DEXA bone densitometry screenings are performed in our specialized testing center. This is considered the state-of-the-art osteoporosis detection
method. It is a simple and painless test which is acclaimed for its preventative benefits. Osteoporosis is a debilitating bone loss disorder which
can be treated if detected in its early stages. New treatments may restore lost bone and prevent further deterioration. Our center is recognized
by the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
This test requires a prescription from a physician. You may obtain one from your general physician, OBGYN or one of our physicians. Once you have

Workers' Compensation Injuries
The goal of West Valley Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is to provide excellent patient care that permits a rapid return to full job duties and a
healthy active lifestyle. Our physicians are Board Certified. Our physicians provide
timely and ratable reports which communicate changes in treatment plans. Work duty status is easily accessible through our dedicated liaison who
works one on one with adjustors to ensure prompt communication. We are sensitive to the needs of both the patients and the adjustors.
The physicians and staff of West Valley Orthopaedics are extremely experienced with the appropriate protocols involved with managing a workers’
compensation injury. Our staff is bilingual in English and Spanish. This diversity allows us to accurately communicate all aspects of treatment
with our patients.
