Bernard M. Diamond, M.D.
Total Joint Replacement/Fractures

Born and raised in Marion, Indiana, Dr. Diamond moved to the West Coast to attend the University of California at Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.). His education continued at the University of Southern California (U.S.C.), obtaining his M.D. in 1968. Following this, Dr. Diamond completed an internship at U.S.C. – L.A. County Medical Center and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, training at several institutions including Riverside General, Kaiser Foundation and Rancho Los Amigos Hospitals, and San Bernardino County Medical Center. This included extensive training in Hand Surgery. Prior to entering Orthopaedics, he was an Emergency Room physician at U.S.C. – L.A. County Medical Center.

Dr. Diamond is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Society, the Western Orthopaedic Association, and the L.A. County and California Medical Associations. He regularly attends numerous continuing education meetings and courses, especially those concerning the latest techniques in hip and knee replacement surgery.

In addition to practicing General Orthopaedics including hand surgery, fractures and the treatment of osteoporosis, Dr. Diamond is recognized as an authority on the arthritic hip and knee including joint replacement surgery. An avid tennis player, skier, and pilot, he lives in the West Valley with his wife. They have two grown children. Dr. Diamond has been practicing orthopaedics in the community since 1975.
